Audience Development Planning
As a specialist in audience development planning, I have a long experience in working with organisations to:
- grow their audiences and increase income
- develop broader audiences through a focus on diversity and hard-to-reach audiences
- change their relationship with audiences through encouraging risk-taking and experimentation.
I can offer a complete start-to-finish audience development planning service, including managing audience research, using audience insight and income/expenditure projects. I have completed successful plans for HLF Stage 2 bids, capital redevelopment bids and operating plans for existing organisations or re-openings.
I am a specialist in developing diverse audiences, drawing on my work history at Theatre Royal Stratford East and sampad (where I held a research role funded by Arts Council England). I have also worked as a consultant in this area, most recently on The Shape of Things.
I also offer a consultancy service, working with organisations to explore their audience development objectives and to write their own plans. An experienced workshop facilitator I work with organisations to create strategies through internal and external consultation, including working with Boards, staff teams, volunteer and other stake holders.
I am experienced at developing audience research programmes to inform the planning process. As an associate of The Audience Agency, I work in partnership with them and their highly skilled research and data teams to develop streamlined, cost effective and meaningful research projects.
